Re: Opening speeches

Ah splash pages... the memories. Do you have consistent patterns across all of your sites? They all have an introduction with the name of the site, the main subject and where the character is from. I have pretty simple intro pages. How do you phrase this welcome message? Simple and to the point. Som...

Re: What are you playing?

I'm playing Gurumin, though I haven't finished Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds Tag Force 4. Gurumin is super cute and fun, pretty easy too. It's an adventure, platformer with just a hint of action RPG, fact paced and amusing. It's pretty kiddish and doesn't have a deep story, but it's still amusing. Before that I had...

Java Script Skin

You can also do this with PHP as skins are often done, but Java Script skins are a simple alternative that work even if you don't have PHP support. To keep all image codes in the CSS, display layout images as div backgrounds. Use external CSS with an id: <link rel="stylesheet" id="des...

Please only post links to sites that allow visitors to use their resources. Fonts: Da Font : It has quite the variety. Image editing: Gimp : My favorite! It's good f...

A World Tree of Shrines

Inspired by Todd revising a famous Amassment discussion , I bring back a meme that was originally inspired by a comment from Destinie and Todd on an earlier meme... It makes me wonder how thins might have changed since then . So without further ado, I beg your pardon if I butchered mythology... whic...

Re: What makes a shrine a shrine?

Clarity between facts and interpretations is a definite plus. I remember those site in geocities and the things they made me think... but they are amusing memories of insane theories (that were way off as I later found out). Though I confess that now days I wiki if I need a reminder of some detail b...

Re: Glorious Purses

I need to have my cell, car keys, house keys, iPod, wallet, glasses, candy, USB, ID... and sometimes pencil and paper to doodle with. XD I just like having everything on hand, but at least the iPod is a whole lot smaller than the PSP I used to carry for video games access anytime.

Re: What makes a shrine a shrine?

Though it's in no way an official definition I used to see fansites as the bigger sites that were about a game/series, etc, often the whole series. I pictured shrines as being smaller and more character focused... In the past at least. Now that line is blurred and I look at the terms as almost the s...
