I keep getting the layout and graphics "the way I want it," then suddenly decide I hate it and I have to start again. *sigh* Oh! Then I have regrets and decide some former version had been "perfect" and I messed it up.
I swear this shrine is never going to be up and running, it's just going to keep being redesiged every day for a year, before I give up.
Please tell me it's not just me...

Re: Please tell me it's not just me...
This happened to me with my Ulquiorra's shrine and the first layout seemed great but executed on the web....nope, didn't like it anymore and redid it.
Hate it when it happens and I have been dragging my butt to redo the second one since the fanart I used [with permission] was way out there now that I look at it lol

I accept your challenge, "high prince", but I am no general.

I get this often. I'll make a layout and think it looks amazing but then I go to code it and decide I hate it.
Also sometimes trying to pick fonts breaks my awesome layout because I can't find the right one that works.

I've found that it helps me significantly to leave a layout over night after struggling with it all day, and look at it again the next day. Usually, it looks better by then, or at least I'm in a more forgiving mood by then lmao.

I guess that's the case for me, too. I'm looking at one I had tossed out previously and saying, "what was wrong with that one?" Ha ha.Lethe wrote:I've found that it helps me significantly to leave a layout over night after struggling with it all day, and look at it again the next day. Oh my gosh, the fonts! Yes! I think I've shuffled the fonts around like crazy! I think it's perfectly readable, then it suddenly looks blurry, too thick, too thin, too sharp, too pale, too dark... *sigh*Crystal wrote:I get this often. I think the best thing to do is just take a step back and start working on the content. If I have to keep using the current fanlisting layout for now, so be it.

(looks at a layout that has been in the remaking and the reremaking for one year and a half, tab over there taunting me)

I do this alllll the time. I end up designing at least 2 layouts for a site before I hit on a style I can live with, LOL
