This is a site that has been in the works for a really long time! Living Words is a one-page-wonder showcasing most if not all of my favorite Bible verses and/or passages. (It's also technically a revamp of my old, unnamed faith site, which is now offline.)
Along with the Bible verses, I've included context for each selection, and I added 4 handy informational links at the bottom of the page as well. Also, if you hover over each of the book/chapter/verse notations, a tooltip will appear detailing what each selection means to me.
I hope this will be a much better resource than what I had before, and in the future I hope to add more verses to it as well. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Re: Living Words
Lovely choices of verses and passages, Robin!
These are simple, heartfelt words to remember and live by regardless of religious affiliation (imo, as I won't speak for anyone else but me). I think 1 Peter 3:8 is especially true in that respect. I don't nearly review the teachings often enough, so this was a good reminder for me.
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! :D I'm hoping to add more as I have time and study more, but this is a good start (and it's soooo much better formatted/designed than my old site xD).Jae wrote:Lovely choices of verses and passages, Robin!

It's cool that you mention 1 Peter 3:8, because I actually ran across that very very recently and was surprised that it's not often studied as much, since it is so straightforward and echoes the foundation of most New Testament-emphasized Christianity. (Though it could be that the various groups I've been in HAVE studied it before and I just...forgot. LOL #adhdproblems)

This is so nice, Robin! I think it's nice to highlight your favorite passages. It inspires me to do something similar. I think there are certain passages that are really important to me on a daily basis that I work hard to try and abide by. IE: Love one another, don't judge lest ye be judged, etc etc. I think it's a nice idea to compile this page because you can reference it easily, show people a little bit about yourself and your beliefs, and also have a nice place for your bookmarks. :)

Re: Living Words
Thank you! I struggled with making this kind of site initially because everything I put online about my faith felt like really weird bragging, or way too interpretive, etc.. It was strangeeee. Finally I just thought, "Well, how about just Bible verses, to let the words (or the Word) speak for itself?" I did include a little bit about what each verse means to me but I kept it suuuuper simple and I ended up with a much better result. Like you said, it serves as a bookmark list of fav verses as well as a snapshot of my beliefs!Destinie wrote:This is so nice, Robin! I think it's nice to highlight your favorite passages. Also, I would love to see your fav verses on a site like this! :D :D
Re: Living Words
All this conversation is making me want to do this too ^^ Though I lost most of my highlights when I got my new phone, I've been building them up again.

Re: Living Words
I feel that new phone trouble, Mikari :/ but yeah, totally compile your fav verses on a site when you get a chance! Would be cool to compare notes (literally)! :)
