(And it kicks butt thank you very much) XD I'm kind of shallow (?) like that, I guess.
And that's how it should be. Some people care way too much about stats. It drives me nuts. x.x

Ah, thanks! I need some validation. ;o;
And it's also Pokémon, I didn't think people should be fighting over it anyway! XP
On another note: Go to gamestop and get a Keldeo today!

I have to admit, I am a nut about stats. It bothers me if I can't progress in the game (or in battles) if my Pokemon has lousy stats no matter how hard I train it. It's why as much as I like the look of Zebstrika, its horrible defense and special attack was a let down so I couldn't keep it alive for most battles. I've been in competitive battles since the early days of Pokemon (I've been in user-run leagues and was a gym leader at one point) so I am a little biased towards having good stats. ^_^; A lot of Pokemon I do like have really great stats and unfortunately, some don't.
I try to have a Lucario and a Scizor in every game, but I couldn't do so for Black & White.
I don't fight with other people about stats or think they should focus on it... it's just something I tend to focus on as a competitive trainer. It's what motivates me to write the adventures of my trainer when I battle. I breed, I raise, I train. That's what's fun for me. :3

@Destinie: Well of course! I couldn't care less about the stats. As long as I have fun that's all that matters to me.
I am going to have to investigate this Pokemon seeing as I live close to a GameStop, hehe.
@Eden: There is nothing wrong with that. We all do have our own ways of playing games. It's just those people that force things onto someone that really irk me. I'm the same way with certain Pokemon I like to have in my party except for it is Milotic and Gardevoir (although I'm taking quite the liking to Gallade to, haha). xD

Lucario is a beast. :D ♥ One of my fav 4th gens. If we were to discuss stats, I do focus on those with High Speed and High Attack. |D;

For me, it's a little bit of both. I like to play with favorites, though I make sure I have somewhat of a balanced team and careful consideration of what moves they should have. Of course, I can never really play competitive because I have some social instability when it comes to competition of any type. (Annndd the lack of a good connection with my Wii/DS doesn't help.)
It's quite hard to have it "good" in mind, because you need to think about roles and how they should be played out, not just randomly throwing in sweepers, etc. And I've also tried to at least have decent natures for them (though usually in the first go for a new game, I let it pass since farming for eggs doesn't exactly feel like a great way to start).
But what doesn't help is that I always love to experiment with teams - what about a team of Eeveelotions only? etc. Theme teams, I suppose is the term for it.
But I completely agree with you Crystal. You play with how they want, and they shouldn't expect others to play like them (for both hardcore and casual gamers, not just one side). We all have different reasons for why we play video games, and it shouldn't make anyone less of a "gamer" if they don't fit that play style.
(Oops, we are getting off topic, aren't me? Maybe we should just make a Pokemon general topic out of this?)

Natures I never really got a handle on. I really don't know how they affect a Pokemon. D: I do like to make sure I have a variety of types in my party though. Usually I'll have at least a fire, water, flying, psychic, electric, and then a random other one in my party.
(Yeahhh, just a little bit maybe. xD I'd love a Pokemon topic personally.)

I used to play like that, now I kind of just pick ones that I like. XD Let's see, right now I have: (Diamond version) Alakazam, Floatzel, Gyarados (gotta have one in every party!), Lucario, Murkrow, and Luxio. (Gotta have Luxio always, too!)
I was working on a cat-team I think last time I was playing Diamond and I had: Meowth (Had like 100 ribbons, SO AWESOME), Luxio, Glameow, Espeon, Delcatty, and Sneasel. I like themed teams, even if they don't "work" as well.
((General Pokemon topic, eh? That'd be cool.))

Natures enhance one stat and decrease another. So one nature enhances special attack but decrease speed; another nature may enhance attack but decrease special defense; and some natures don't enhance or decrease anything at all (which are neutral natures). It works that way. Serebii.net has a great table at which natures enhance and decrease what stat.
