I don't think it would be difficult but space is a huge consideration to make. They've spent so much time designating the left to be the shield arm and right to be the sword arm that any alteration would probably take up too much space on the disk. Plus, 90% of the people in the world are right-handed so I guess they were all, "LOL NO LOSS THERE." (It does make the left-handed me very upset because I need left-handed heroes!)
Yeah, the motion controls for Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess were awful on the Wii. I do like how the weapon changing screen was real-time, so it adds on to the challenge. Bow controls were like WHAT because the creators apparently wanted you to hold the Wii-mote like a bow handle, not point it at the screen. I do like that they let you zoom in as you held the grip. I'm so bad with shooting in general because my hand shakes a lot, haha. Rolling the bombs was confusing but with practice it should be A-OK. :)

In Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, I believe you could pick left or right handed. Which I thought was pretty cool. So I don't think it would be too hard for Nintendo to do. I think the reason they don't is because the majority is right handed. Maybe.
Hehe, octoroks. ;o; *** pew! Makes me want to make stuff.

Mini-boss, deal with it. (Now every time I see that face, I'm going to be like OCOTOROKS.)
As far as motion controls go I think it's based on the 90% that are right handed, like Joe mentioned. It's easier to make things for that large group than to cater to smaller. Though, I believe that the easier time for hand-helds has more to do with the idea that the ways you used the stylus depended more on writing type motions, which requires a finer skill of motion than say swinging your arm (which can be done either). Cherri is familiar with this as a right handed person who bowls left handed.
We have the gamecube version of Twilight Princess and I have yet to play Skyward sword, but I'm looking forward to the motion controls. It does bug me, however, as I am so dominantly right handed when Link is clearly a lefty. But it bugs me more because fight-handed, I'm a lefty.
To add to the actual initial questions, I've loved almost every Zelda game I've played. With the exception of Majora's Mask (even though it has Alice in wonderland-esque elements) and Wind Waker (which made me nauseous to the point where i could barely play it) and Minish Cap (which was way too easy). My favorites are Ocarina of Time. I love the different elements that make up the world and how the temple were all temple-esque, the could be, from my perspective actual places of worship (assuming it was a time of peace, blah, blah, blah). And I love how the renders just made them explorable. It was so nice to actually be able to see the scale of things! I also really enjoy Oracle of Ages, but for no good reason other than it was really puzzle heavy. I was terrible at Oracle of Seasons. xD
I'm also quite fond of Twilight Princess because for me it was a better immersion into Link's World and journey. one could really explore Hyrule and I'm a fan of the architecture. I've spent so much time studying art and buildings that I just enjoy it because I recognize so many elements. I also love that it's "dark."The world itself is grittier, grungier, just darker and I'm a huge fan of that. It's not quite gothic but it's getting there!

Love the octorok! ;o; *** pew! I think I'll make a site to it!
Dude! Snow, after you finish Yakuza Dead Souls again, we should pick Twilight Princess back up! We probably have to start over though. But I think I'd be okay with that.
I like waving the controller around as a sword (did that in Dragon Quest Swords). But I'm a spazz. Twilight Princess was "darker" as it were. It's a nice switch up and the scenery was pretty cool to look at.

Between the Oracle games, I like Ages better for several reasons: a) It was my first Zelda game ever, so of course the nostalgia quality wins. b) Nayru is overall better than Din because at least she actually stops being a damsel after a while and actually helps you out. Plus she sings pretty <3 c) I might not like puzzles more, but the plot was certainly better than Seasons. NPCS like Ralph and Queen Ambi were given more significance than any NPC I remember in Seasons. Plus, I like the manipulation of time and rectifying things from the past to change the present, than just plain old seasons. d) Vera >>>>> whoever the big bad of Seasons was. She didn't just "wait" at the final dungeon - she actively tried to do things to get in Link's way. Plus, she had a cooler boss fight.
Even if Minish Cap was simple, I did quite like it however. It makes a good casual playthrough, and it makes me nostalgic for the Oracle games. Gotta admit, Capcom can make good handheld Zeldas (though the rate the company is going lately, I'm not sure it will work so well now). Can't say I am interested in either Spirit Tracks or Phantom Hourglass, however.

I prefer Seasons to Ages. Ages was hard for me to do. Not really into puzzles. Nayru does sing pretty, I like that. I wish they would have done more with Farore though. They just kinda left her out. It would be cool if Ages and Seasons were to come out on the 3DS, like Link's Awakening DX did.
Oh, I figured you guys would like this too.
Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia, it's pretty much a history book. Artwork, timelines and all that nifty stuff. Found it yesterday while at my cousin's house. Though it's not released yet, but soon.

Yeah, Nintendo originally planned a companion game for Farore, but due to time constraints they had to cut it out. Or so I heard.

I thought it was already released...? In the very least some information from that book has been passed around, so I wonder if it was just leaked.

It might have already been released previously and I'm just a noob. I just ordered me a copy (from gamestop). Says the release date is 10/26/2012. So I really don't know. But google did have images of it already. Wow, this stuff is confusing. I'm still excited though.
Maybe they might pick it back up or create new games for the golden goddesses? We can hope right? I vaguely remember that about Farore.

Zelda cycles through so many different variations of the mythology I don't know which one to go by anymore. XD Also, the girls in the Oracles game aren't the goddesses... they're just oracles named after the goddesses.
Edit: I just looked up Hyrule Historia. Apparently the original book was released last year, and the English version is coming out this January. So that clears up the confusion.

Right. I forget that they aren't the golden goddesses and just named after them. Probably because they are name after them I refer to them as them. Kind of confusing. But the first time I heard the names Din, Nayru and Farore they were the goddesses in Ocarina of Time. Then later they were oracles. That might have something to do with it too. Then they were normal girls looking for a place to live in Minish Cap, I believe. So much information because Nintendo keeps changing things. I understand how you feel about the mythology, so I just go with what I like the best.
Also, thank you for looking that up. Clears up so much confusion.
