Oh I've heard about Knights in the Nightmare! How's it like?
Re: What are you playing?
Honestly it's not all that great, unless you're willing to give it lots of bonus points for having a Valkyrie. The art is beautiful and the game can be entertaining for a window of time. That's just it, at the beginning you'll spend more time than in most games learning how to play it, looking through the basic tutorials and realizing that attacking everything that moves and trying to kill as many as enemies as possible before running out of time isn't quite working out.
Then you'll learn how to play, get the hang of it and realize that, now that you know the right way to kill enemies, it's an easy game after all. After a while, it will feel too easy and too repetitive and the lack of over world and restrained movements of the battle screen will get boring. The story is broken into little scenes that are revealed in flashbacks, showing the final moments of your characters before they become available to join you. None the playable characters save for the Valkyrie and the Wisp are really interesting and the antagonists take a while to start really contributing to the plot, slowly.
The Valkyrie is a good playable character within the standard of the game, but she doesn't stick around for all the battles and the others have their set of limitations. The main character, the Wisp whose identity is revealed later, is a point of light that acts like a cursor and commands the playable characters in a point and lick fashion while dodging attacks on the screen. It's not your average turn based RPG and the while Wisp mechanic is fun when you get the hang of it, but it gets old after 40 very similar battles.
The characters are not well developed and the only character that I find somewhat interesting is the Valkyrie and the Angel, though I won't say why so as to not spoil it. Still they're not all that interesting anyway and the Wisp, even after his identity is revealed, isn't all that intriguing. If you look deeper, the story had potential, but it wasn't presented in a way that could draw attention and the scene often fell cut off and unrelated, at least until 20 or so battles later when the shadow of twisted plot starts to appear.
If you can get a free demo, download it and if you get into the battles, thinking of them as a sort of mini game, then you might enjoy the game, but if you don't enjoy the point and click to command characters while dodging obstacles style, then you won't enjoy the game. Once you actually know what to do, it's not really challenging and it's one of those games where the bosses are often easier than the regular battles, since there's only one primary target.

Re: What are you playing?
You're the first person I know who's actually playing it so I wanted to know more XD
WELL, NOW I KNOW WHY MORE PEOPLE AREN'T PLAYING IT
it sounded up my alley in terms of genre and I was intrigued by the art, but if there's no interesting characters and the gameplay isn't even worth it, that's it I guess. Thank you for telling me all about it. :D
