Hi, everyone! My name is April and I just found out about this place a few days ago and am really excited. I recognize a few of you from TFL. I've been a part of TFL since 2003 and am currently a category staffer over there. :)
I've been making sites since September of 2003. It's something that has always interested me and my last semester of college, I took a computer class, in which one of our first assignments was none other than building a site on anything we wanted. Most in that class just did a personal page, but me, I went nuts and made a fansite for I Dream of Jeannie, one of my top favorite TV shows. Granted, we used a drag and drop program to do it, but it was nonetheless fun. I kept it going for a long time even after that class was over with and my college was kind enough to let me keep hosting it on their server. I did close it down some years later. :)
It was around that same time, I found TFL and got involved with fanlistings. After a few years, I began wanting to branch out and wanted to get away from using my drag and drop program, and a good friend of mine worked with me to start setting up my new site. I eventually bought my own hosting space and domain. It has evolved from only a fanlisting collective to a personal site that has my fanlistings as well as other fun and personal stuff. She and another friend made my graphics for me for a while, but by the grace of God, I started learning to do it myself and I have now learned how to do coding on my own, with some friends' help and the help of some great tutorials. :)
Anywho, I look forward to joining in and getting to know everyone. :)
