Basically you can choose a font and use it on a site by using the code and following the instructions Google gives you.

I use Arial too on occasions as well as Georgia (headers mostly), Impact, Trebuchet MS (which 4th Espada is currently using) and sometimes Courier New or Palatino. Depends on the layout and experimentation, especially with letter-spacing, word-spacing, and line-height properties in CSS.

Hmmm, have you tried getting a Dr. Scholl's insert for the converse? It offers support and padding, so it might eliminate that problem.
