Affinity

Post by Tara »

I've been working on this shrine since March, and I'm happy to announce it's finally done!!

Affinity is my shrine to Yukari Takeba, from Persona 3! Though its content mainly strings from the portable PSP version because that's my favourite. I'm hoping to add to it once Persona 4 Arena Ultimax releases here! It's going to be coupled with a Mitsuru shrine in the future, but I think I'm Persona'd out for a while.

I hope you guys like it! I put so much work into it. Q~Q

I don't have time to read it all (work lol) but I'm loving the essays you wrote! The layout is gorgeous as well! Too bad you're all Persona'd out, I would love to see your handling of Mitsuru too.

Unfortunately I can't read through most of the content yet since I haven't finished P3 (I got 30 hours in!... which is basically nowhere in that game, sob. Also it was years ago) but the layout is absolutely gorgeous, I'm really impressed!

I glanced through the pages and I really love that you have a section explaning why Yukari's not a bitch. These days almost every female character gets that word slung at them to dehumanize them (thanks, misogynism!), and as you said it's not a term to use for a character you don't like. Major props for including that.

I look forward to reading through it in full once I play P3! (Soon, hopefully.)

Thank you!!! I had a LOT of fun writing writing in the Essays section, especially that page. I'm glad you enjoyed glancing through it.

I hope you get the chance to play more Persona 3 soon, though!! It was my favourite Persona game... I have over 200 hours clocked on it for both my old PS2 file and my PSVita version of Portable

Beautiful layout. It's awesome to see more P3 shrines P3P is my favorite Persona game. Though I've seen a lot of dislike for Yukari in the fandom, I never really understood why. I mean, everyone can like and dislike what they want, but she didn't come off as a "dislikeable" character to me, so it's good to see her getting some appreciation. I'm enjoying listening to what you wrote.

Oh lovely! I'm so happy to see more Persona sites! I'll be honest, I find Yukari extremely cold. I'm still glad that she was able to get some love. And I read through the majority of the site! Easy to read. Although, I do have to squint and highlight text to read it. (Seriously, I feel like I mention this every site i view lately.)

On the plus side, I linked you at my Mitsuru site, In Harmony and my Pharos OP, Transience
My dear, the truth is simple. We're all mad here.

I just stumbled upon your domain and you have no idea how happy I am to see your Yukari site!! It's wonderful and I love your essays for her--especially those supporting her character. I found her a bit hard to like at first, but I really enjoy her character now. When I get my Shinji and Akihiko/Mitsuru sites up next month, I will definitely link you! I look forward to seeing Mitsuru as well. :)

(I love Glaceon too btw, haha)

I'm avoiding the content because this is a game I would like to play sometime and don't want to be spoiled, but - it looks fantastic! And you have so much content! Great work. :)

@Mikari: Thank you so much! Persona 3 is one of my favourite RPG's, and replaying P3P only fueled my desire to make some shrines for it.

@Snow: I'll try and lighten up some of the text so other people don't have a hard time reading it! Thank you! I'll add your links in to Yukari soon~

@Samantha: Ahh, I'm such a fan of your domain and shines, thank you! Like I said in the shrine, it took me a while to warm up to Yukari but when I did she became one of my favourites. :D I'm also really looking forward to a Shinji shrine!! I love him so much and I look forward to reading it!

@Emma: Thank you!! I hope you get a chance to play the game soon, it's one of my absolute favourites. :)
