Love Live: Aikawa Ryou

As you may or may not be aware, I have been notoriously horrible at not completing shrines. I have a terrible habit of starting one, either making too grandeur of plans or simply lose interest and suddenly tributes fall to the wayside. I have a trail of unfinished and eternally abandoned tributes behind me but!! NO MORE!

As a personal matter, I have decided to only make tributes for a subject when my inspiration for them is at its peak. I will no longer push aside projects until "I have time" but instead will actively try and work on them when I am currently diving head first into the series and falling in love with.... well, whatever.

So, I decided to start off small:

a mini tribute for Aikawa Ryou (Love Live)

A mini tribute to a side character from the currently popular game Love Live. Given the lack of information about her, it is indeed a mini tribute but the point of it all is that I completed it. It is finished and will be updated as more information about her is released. I have more projects on the way (proper tributes~) and I can only hope to keep this momentum going and finally be able to be part of this community in a productive manner.

If anyone has Love Live-related sites, I would love to affiliate with you!

Beautifully done! I love how you've incorporated the character art so seamlessly into the design, and the scans featured in the decorative brooches/badges down the left side are a pretty and ornate touch. You've also got quite a LOT of character info and how she is woven into the story, which is impressive given that she's a minor character. Congrats on finishing this mini tribute!!

This is so cute! I love the way you have this set up! I also like how on the side those cute little ornament like things are images you've uploaded! That's a really unique way to place them! At first I thought they were part of the layout xD

Oh this looks lovely ( ) and I agree, the way you incorporated the game aesthetics is really nice. The "Koyuki Shirase" section was a joy to read.

The decorative images are very cute, too!

I love the design of this site, especially those cute lockets! I'm always impressed by your layouts; your design style is super distinctive and really lovely to look at :)

Also, I'm not sure if you know this, but the kanji Ryou uses in her name means "cool breeze" (used in the common word "suzushii", which is what most people exclaim when a blast of cool air hits them). I thought it was neat considering her attribute is 'cool' ;)

The crowns all over the site are so cute hehe, and the cute emblems on the left fit right in - what an adorable way to integrate a kind of mini gallery! The Ryou/Koyuki relationship is so cute! I love how Koyuki already gets namedropped several times in the quotes that you chose before you actually talk about her on the shrine, gooosh. <3 I've been seeing a bunch of people play Love Live, but don't have any idea about it myself, so it's neat to see a shrine to it!

The layout of this is so cute & ornate, Emrys, it really suits your theme! As someone who also needs to work on shrines during the "peak" of their obsession, I totally get what you mean. Words just seem to flow easier for me when I'm already thinking about the subject 24/7.

I really liked reading about your interest in the character--I don't play Love Live and know next to nothing about it, but as someone who is generally not into the cutesy idol-type female characters I can totally see what's drawn you to Ryou! (She looks gorgeous!) I also know how difficult it can be to scrape up enough info for a shrine when it comes to super minor characters (especially from games like these) so I really admire what you've put together here! :3

Awesome work! I hope that there will be more of her in the future for you to enjoy! (And maybe in turn, expand this for the rest of us!)

@Lethe: I am definitely proud of myself. Nothing motivates more than actually COMPLETING a project, you know? I'm glad you enjoyed it so much, even though you haven't played the game! That makes me feel like Ryou's appeal expands~~ thank you so much!

@Aku: Please do; it is honestly the best choice I ever made. Working on something during my peak obsession has gotten me further in sites than it ever did the old way. IT'S A GREAT METHOD. I'm really glad that Ryou appeals to you ;) She's my dearest idol prince, hehe. I'm glad you enjoyed my tribute, even with it being to a minor character!! I definitely hope to add more to it as more is released about her!
